Moments는 내가 붙잡고 싶었던 소중한 순간들을 담은 플립북이자, 가까이 다가가면 자동으로 페이지가 넘어가는 키네틱 아트 작품이다. Moments is a flipbook of the precious moments I wanted to hold onto, and a kinetic art piece whose pages turn automatically whenever someone comes close.
언제나 용감했던 내 친구를 떠올리면 나는 드넓은 땅과 하늘이 떠오른다. 나에게는 언제나 'Motherearth'라는 말을 떠올리게 하는 친구를 위해, 언제 어디서든 우리는 땅과 하늘처럼 이어지자는 마음으로 반지와 목걸이를 직접 디자인하고 만들었다. 반지는 내가 가지고, 목걸이는 친구에게 보냈다. Whenever I think of my always-brave friend, I picture wide-open land and sky. She's the friend who always makes me think of the word "Motherearth." With the wish that wherever we are, we'd stay connected like land and sky, I designed and made a ring and a necklace myself. I kept the ring, and sent the necklace to my friend.
나는 힘들 때 남을 위해 산다는 생각으로 누군가를 떠올리며 기도한다. 네덜란드에 오고 그런 마음으로 Wish라는 카드와 쥬얼리를 직접 디자인하고 제작했다. After making this, I happened to meet someone crying on the street. 우리는 서로를 위해 기도하기로 약속하며 카드를 주고 받았다. 언젠가 이 세상 어딘가에서 우연히 만나 서로를 위한 그 모든 wish를 이루었다 말하자면서.

When things get hard, I think of living for someone else, and I pray while picturing them in my mind. After coming to the Netherlands, with that same feeling, I designed and made a card and jewelry set called Wish myself. After making this, I happened to meet someone crying on the street. We promised to pray for each other and exchanged cards, saying that someday, somewhere in this world, we would meet again by chance and say that every wish we made for each other had come true.

나는 여행갈 때마다 기념품을 좀 의미있게 만드는 거 좋아하는데, 스페인에서의 꿈같은 시간을 찍은 사진들을 oil painting 느낌으로 바꿔서 데일밴드랑 엽서로 만들어 주변사람들에게 줬다. Whenever I travel, I like to make my souvenirs a bit more meaningful. I turned photos from my dreamlike time in Spain into an oil painting style, then made them into band-aids and postcards to give to the people around me.
Fusion 360으로 프레임을 3D로 설계하고, 레이저 커팅으로 아크릴을 가공하고, 아두이노로 NFC를 작업했다. Designed the frames in 3D with Fusion 360, laser-cut the acrylic, and wired up the NFC with Arduino.
